Corporate Governance
Undertook Carver's Policy Governance Academy in Atlanta, Georgia in October, 2003. Experience as a director of both for profit and not for profit corporations including co-operatives.

Government and Private Sector Organisational Reviews
The organisational reviews required the assessment of the current performance of the organisations against their stated objectives or against specific mandates given to deliver services in identified areas. Recommendations were required to be developed from the research undertaken and, in specific cases, strategy and action plans developed presented for the implementation of the recommended changes.

The review of the State Treasury's Accounting Services Division required an assessment of the services that should be delivered, payment for services and alternative service providers.

Leslie has experience in the implementing and supervising of other staff in the implementation of agreed assignment plans and specific methodologies to ensure that agreed review outcomes are achieved. Individual plans are developed and methodologies selected or adapted for each assignment.

Development of Funding Model
Development of a funding model for the Industry Training Councils (ITCs). The model was required to ensure that ITCs addressed the functions set out in their agreement with the WA Department of Training effectively and efficiently. A behavioural model was developed which consisted of baseline funding and a pool of project funding. The baseline funding has no performance based criteria but allows for the impact of certain identified factors which impact on the ITCs' operating expenses. The project funding is based on performance criteria.

Change Management

Business Process Reengineering
Introduction and implementation of Business Process Engineering in the Department for Community Development. This assignment included carrying out the Reengineering of six processes and also the training of departmental personnel through a workshop process.

Key Performance Indicators
The introduction of Key Performance Indicators to measure Productivity improvement throughout organisations. Training and implementation of Productive Edge's proprietary methodology for the introduction of key performance indicators in seven divisions of the Swan Brewery.

Implementation of Best Practice methodologies, including training internal teams in various Best Practice methodologies for the Health Department of WA's Public Health & Statewide Services and the Department of Community Development.

Strategic Planning and Organisational Review Assignments
Public and private sector organisations' strategic and business planning and with their implementation. These assignments have included market research to identify the markets and products or services which will be delivered by various organisations.

These included the development of action plans based on selected strategies and the project management of the action plans.

Corporate Administrations
In a variety of corporate administrations including receivership's, involving the sale of businesses of many types. Assistance included transferring assets from a state government authority which was being disbanded to other organisations.

Sale of businesses on behalf of companies under administration involves many additional legal requirements and an awareness of the need to consider and address legal and statutory matters at an early stage.
